Connection and Data Sources
Why does the connection to the data source fail?
Connection failures to a data source are usually caused by the following reasons:
- Server-side restrictions: The data source server may have restrictions on client connections, such as IP restrictions, rate limiting, or request number limits. If you encounter this issue, please contact the data source provider and ask them to add iPlay's User-Agent to their whitelist. iPlay's User-Agent identifier is
iPlay. - Network connection issues: Check if your device is connected to the internet and if the network is stable.
- Invalid data source address: Make sure the data source address you entered is correct, including the protocol (such as http:// or https://).
- Firewall or proxy settings: Your firewall or network proxy may block the connection. Please check the relevant settings.
- Data source is offline: The data source server may be temporarily unavailable or offline. Please try again later.
Solutions:
- Try switching to a different data source line
- Check your network connection status
- Clear the cache and re-add the data source
- Make sure the application is updated to the latest version

What player kernels does iPlay support?
iPlay supports multiple player kernels, including:

- Other community-contributed player kernels
You can switch between different kernels as needed to get the best playback experience.
What video formats are supported?
iPlay supports mainstream video formats, including:
- Container formats: MP4, MKV, AVI, FLV, MOV, etc.
- Video codecs: H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1, etc.
- Audio codecs: AAC, MP3, FLAC, AC3, etc.
- Subtitles: SRT, ASS, VTT, and other formats

Feature Usage
How to switch playback lines?
On the playback interface, you can easily switch between different playback lines:
- Open the video playback interface
- Find the line switching option (usually in the menu or toolbar)
- Select the line you want
- The player will automatically switch to the new line
If a line is unavailable, you can try switching to another available line.
